Description

We offer a natural juniper berry hydrolate for cosmetics, obtained from a plant of the species Juniperus communis. The distillate bears the name Juniper Berry natural hydrolate for cosmetics. Botanical systematics places the species in the Cupressaceae family. The ripe fruits are used for extraction, and each of them is a female cone in which the scales fuse into a dense, fleshy part. The young cones have a reddish tint and, on ripening, turn blue-black with a dense waxy bloom. The plants in Bulgaria develop under a natural cultivation method and remain free of synthetic agents. Steam distillation of the ripe, unfermented fruits preserves the aromatic profile, since no solvents are involved in the extraction and the volatile fraction comes only from the cones. The oxygenated volatile compounds are retained in the aqueous part and determine the aromatic direction of the liquid. The aroma reaches a high degree of intensity. The freshness and the pine direction receive resinous support in the overall aromatic profile of the distillate. Monoterpene hydrocarbons form the main part of the volatile fraction, and among them pinene, myrcene and sabinene stand out. It is used in creams with a mattifying effect, pore-cleansing gels and body lotions with a regulating effect, as well as in sebum control masks and facial peeling formulas. It is suitable for aftershave products with a soothing effect, cleansing foams and gels for blemish-prone skin. It is also used in night care creams, toners for normalizing the skin and micellar waters for makeup removal. It is applied in masks for a radiant look, light-textured lotions for daily hydration and creams with a smoothing and revitalizing effect for maintaining a fresh and healthy complexion.

Storage

Store natural juniper berry hydrolate in a dark, cool and dry place, away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Maintain a temperature of +4°C to +10°C to limit the growth of microorganisms. After opening, use the contents within 6 months and limit the amount of air in the container. Use only aluminum or glass bottles for cosmetic products, preferably dark glass, which protect the cosmetics hydrolate from light. Close tightly after each use to prevent air and contaminants from entering. Observing these conditions preserves the freshness and quality of the product for a longer period.
